Rev. Sebastian Dabovich Talks to Catholic Club
Russian Priest Gives Lecture on “The Holy Mount Athos and Oriental Monasticism”
An informal talk was given by Rev. Sebastian Dabovich of the Russian church before the Catholic Club and invited guests that evening at the Occidental Hotel on “The Holy Mount Athos and Oriental Monasticism.”
The subject being on of which little is generally known in this country, many questions were put to the speaker, and his answers were listened to with great interest by the large audience present, consisting of both clergymen and laymen. The meeting was presided over by Edward Mills Adams, the president of the club. Among the clergymen present were the Rev. Fathers Ratcliff, Parrish, Lathrop, Venables, Clark, Gee, and Chapman.
The next lecture of the course will be delivered on Thursday, May 4, at 8 p.m. at the Occidental Hotel. Cards of admission may be obtained from B. A. Forsterer, the secretary, at room 331, Rialto building.1
